Getting started

• The Count's Lessons: on the Play tab, Count Dracula teaches the game in seven short, voiced lessons and a practice duel. Finish them for a free pack.
• The story: Continue the story on the Play tab starts the next chapter. Three Acts of three chapters: I, The Count Abroad (Dracula); II, Forbidden Science (Frankenstein, Jekyll and Hyde); III, The Haunted Salon (Carmilla, Dorian Gray). Each chapter pays a one-time reward the first time you win it.
• Skirmish: quick matches against the computer with any starter deck or a deck of your own.
• The rules: every term the cards use, from Influence to Depth, is in Rules in Settings (the gear on the Play tab), with a search.

Packs

• Free packs: a free pack every 12 hours, up to 3 waiting; the countdown is on the Packs tab. Every match also fills the pack meter: a win gives 40, a loss 15, out of 100 for a pack.
• Opening: Packs, choose a Series, flick the rack to spin it and touch to stop, Select pack, open it, then tap each card to turn it over.
• Odds: every pack's contents and odds are on the Packs tab. Free and bought packs have exactly the same odds.
• Duplicate protection: no repeat Legendary while you are missing one, a card you need is twice as likely, and every 10th pack of a kind is guaranteed a Legendary.
• Ink: copies beyond what a deck can use turn into Ink, which records any card you are missing.

Buying packs

Packs can be bought with More packs, beside Select pack on the Packs tab. Everything in them can also be earned by playing. Bought packs join your unopened packs. If a purchase doesn't arrive, tap Restore purchases in the same sheet. Packs are not sold in Belgium, the Netherlands, Brazil or China.

Bought packs are tied to your Apple Account: after reinstalling, or on a new device, packs you bought and hadn't received are delivered again automatically, or when you tap Restore purchases. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Decks and the Archive

On the Decks tab, choose a Leader and build 40 cards from the Leader's two Domains plus Neutral cards, up to two copies of a card (one of a Unique card). The deck builder shows what a deck still needs and which cards you own, and decks can be sorted and duplicated.

The Archive records every card you have seen or owned. Search it and filter it by Domain, type and rarity; open a card to read it and hear its quotation.

iCloud backup

With iCloud on, your collection and decks are copied to your own iCloud after every change. When you reinstall the game or start it on a new device, it offers to restore that copy; nothing is replaced unless you choose Restore. The last backup, and a restore button, are under Back up to iCloud in Settings.

Settings

The gear on the Play tab opens Settings: the rules, coaching tips, haptics, sound and voices, restore purchases, iCloud backup, Privacy Policy, Support and Credits.

Privacy

Under Gaslight has no account, no ads, no analytics and no server; its iCloud copy lives in your own iCloud. Read the Privacy Policy.
